CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Yoga Gently For students of any age looking for a slower paced class. The aim of the class is to gently stretch and open all the joints of the body, relieve tension held in the muscles and increase flexibility in all areas, including hamstrings, hips, back, shoulders and neck. Suitable for beginners and pregnant women given clearance by their doctor to practice yoga.
Yoga Foundations Introduces the main concepts of a yoga practice. Focuses on the basic form of all poses from Level 1. Suitable for beginners.
Level 1 A well-rounded practice which introduces the foundation poses and encourages students to develop a sense of what yoga can bring into ones life. Strength building, flexibility and good alignment are a focus of this class. Suitable for beginners and pregnant women with some yoga experience.
Level 2 This class will increase your strength, flexibility and stamina. A faster paced class, with continued emphasis on breathing and the alignment of body and mind. Builds on the foundation poses learned in Level 1 classes. Previous yoga experience is necessary
Vinyasa Yoga Similar to a Level 1-2 Class except this practice consists of a set sequence and is taught in a Vinyasa / flow style. Previous yoga experience is necessary.
Yin Yoga *heated to 27 degrees
While a typical practice includes poses that we hold for a duration of breaths, yin is a slower paced practice where we hold the shapes for a duration of minutes. All poses are practiced down on the mat, without any standing poses. Yin yoga works by targeting the connective tissues of the body,
especially the fascia. We ease in to a place where sensation begins and allow the force of gravity to take us deeper from there. This is a slow paced practice, all poses are done on the floor with a duration length in minutes instead of breaths Great for all levels! Join us for an exploration of the art of 'being', and take a break from the act of 'doing'!
Yang/Yin Yoga *heated to 27 degrees
This class combines a more energetic practice similar to a Level 1, with the long holds of yin. Class begins vigorous enough to encourage detoxification of tissues and increased circulation. The final part of class takes advantage of the body's suppleness for longer, peaceful holds. Come experience how your mind and body respond to changes in pace, duration, and environment!
Heated Hatha *heated to 37 degrees
Suitable for all levels. This heated practice is designed for all levels and beginners alike. Perfect for those who look for a little less down dog. Similar to a level 1, we focus on experiencing more depth in each pose with less flow and more static holding. Upon the teachers discretion, there will be a fairly balanced experience with standing, seated and reclined poses. Students are welcome to drink water as often as they like and lie down anytime they need to!
Heated Moksha Inspired*heated to 37 degrees
Suitable for all levels. There is a great style of yoga out there called Moksha yoga that has inspired this class.
This is what moksha is all about:
For your body...
Moksha Yoga builds upper and lower body strength, balance and flexibility, and cardiovascular health. The series also focuses on treating and preventing commonly cranky areas of the body like the lower back, knees and bellybutton lint. The cool part is that every body is welcome and everybody will benefit.
For your brain...
A regular Moksha practice gives us the rare opportunity to slow it all down. The stress reduction associated with yoga helps to calm and balance the nervous system, increase blood flow to the brain, and help you remember where you left your keys.
For your breath...
The average person takes 900 breaths an hour. Moksha Yoga encourages you to make each and every one of them count, on and off the mat.
For your being...
The word Moksha means Freedom. A regualr Moksha practice gives us the chance to explore what this means for each of us; whether it's finding freedom from chronic pain, freedom from self judgement, or freedom from playing Angry Bird marathons.

Yoga Therapy (private classes by appointment only) One on one sessions designed to meet specific needs of the individual. Suitable for those with injuries or requiring rehabilitation from illness. Yoga therapy assists in reclaiming personal responsibility for over-all health by identifying and correcting necessary physical, mental and emotional changes, before the body responds with a crisis in health; and by supporting and re-balancing the system once disease has manifested.
