Many people feel apprehensive about attending their first yoga class so this page is designed to put your mind at rest.

If you have never done yoga before then our Level 1 and Yoga Gently classes are suitable for beginners.  Our FAQ page will hopefully answer all the general questions you may have before attending your first class.  If you need convincing why you should practice yoga then our benefits page will show you why so many men and women all over the world practice yoga regularly.

All of our classes give you time for a proper relaxation at the beginning and end so that you can focus on yourself and the yoga, setting aside any troubles or worries you may have.  You can expect a friendly and empathetic welcome and you will have the opportunity to inform us of any existing injuries/illnesses you may have so we can ensure you get the most out of your practice.

We want men and women alike to feel comfortable so there is a communal feel to our classes and you should not feel self-conscious.  Our style of teaching is relaxed and the emphasis is on you to decide how far you exert yourself.  There is no pressure, no membership fees or mandatory financial commitments as all our classes are available on a drop-in basis.  Unlike gyms we do limit our class sizes so we can give you the personal attention to help you get maximum benefit from the poses.

Finally, don't expect to come to your first yoga class and feel the benefits immediately.  In some cases this does happen but it often takes a few weeks of regular practice for your body to adjust.  Stiffness and other symptoms can occur as a result of toxins which have built up in your system being released.  Like all fitness activities, you need a certain amount of commitment, self-discipline and dedication, however with some of these,  yoga can easily become a way of life.
